Poetry From My 1996 Self

There once was a little girl in a surprise
That she didn't have a size

My aunt my aunt, she is very pretty
But sometimes she gets a little gitty

Little, little people say I am little
But not too little to eat a skittle

Music Music everywhere
There is even music in my hair

She threw herself on the bed and said, "I love you Fred!"

Leaves Leaves
my sleeves come and get them at the sneeze of the trees

Look Look! I got a new book with jokes and famous folks and rhymes and old times.
I read it in front of the fire place while I warm my cold face.

I love my family very much
They have a special touch
Two sisters and a dad and a mom
Don't forget my dog Reggie
We all have different talents that help us balance in our lives
One day me and my sisters might be wives

I like my poems
I like to show 'em
I show them to people who like them and people who don't
who take a note or two
maybe I can show them to you and you can get a clue!

I felt a tear drop down from my eye
I thought I was about to cry
I looked up high into the sky and saw a fly
Then I looked left and I saw my friend Beth
Then I looked right and I saw a bright light
But I never found my tear anywhere near

They carry my weight and they walk on the ground
They get sticky and icky from bubble gum
I wouldn't want to be one at night when I look at them dirty in the closet
I say tomorrow is a day of work and play

Names, where do they come up with names?
Jill, Bill, Lil, Mick, Ik
Sal, Al and Olivia
Hey! That is me!
Its a catastrophe!

One day I went to school
there was a pool that was really neat
Then I had to eat lunch of course everyone ate like a horse
Then we went outside
I said to May, "How are you today?"
She said, "Wait! I am late!"
"For what?" I asked
"For class!" she blast

I'm sick in bed
I feel like I'm dead
I stayed home from school
that is kinda cool
I'll go back to normal soon
I just want a balloon
